The Old Mission Peninsula Education Foundation (501(c)(3)) has been busy at work securing the purchase of our beloved Old Mission Peninsula School. Our group of committed volunteers is excited to preserve such an amazing piece of educational history. Our K-6 curriculum is set and we have certified teachers and administrators contacting us, eager to be a part of creating the new public charter (tuition free) school. In October 2018, state and federal per pupil funding will be provided which supports ongoing operations. However, this is too late for the preparations needed to open in September 2018, a short fourteen months away and counting. That means OMPEF will need to fund any and all expenses for the next year and half. Fortunately, we have no major capital financial needs, the school, recently renovated, is in great shape.
At this point in our journey, we are in need of your support. In addition to grant applications, and business partnerships, we need donations from individuals who are committed to keeping education on OMP. Your financial support will provide the funds we need to get up and running in September 2018. Our goal is to raise $2 million by January, 2018.
Your donation will allow us to:
We are looking for your generous support in hopes that you can help keep a viable and sustainable school available to all on OMP.
